A former candidate for the California State Assembly and Cerritos College District Board was fined by the California Ethics Commission for failing to report campaign contributions, according to the Downey Patriot.
Candidate Carmen Avalos did not file a semiannual campaign state for the reporting period when she ran for State Assembly in 2009 and was fined on two seperate occasions.
The California Fair Political Practices Commission charged Avalos two separate $200 fines last week.
