1.
Four open Dean positions have been filled for this new semester. Some of the new staff were hired from within the existing administration and others are new to Cerritos College. Managing and Multimedia Editor Lucia Sarabia speaks one on one with these new Deans to see what they may contribute to Cerritos College.

Pell Grant money is now being split into deferred payments for the sake of deterring students from dropping out early in the semester. Some students claim hardships due to this new method of payment with bills to pay and books to buy with incomplete funds. Other students believe this is a good idea. Staff writer Juan Lopez speaks to students directly on this issue.

After 9 years of service here at Cerritos College, intermediate typist/clerk Nancy Mirabella will retire this semester. Co-workers describe her as a class and a person that would go above and beyond her call of duty. Nominated for the ‘Employee of the Month’ award by her peers, Staff writer Alexandra Scoville reports on the exodus of this staff member.

Talon Marks Editor in Chief Vic Diaz drops in on ‘Campus News Hour’ and speaks about his plans for the spring semester of 2012.

With the initial intent of streamlining curriculum’s for both teacher and students here at Cerritos College, ‘Talon Net’ is riddled with bugs hindering its potential effectiveness. From problems logging on and other problems, News Editor Enrique Rivera asks the tough questions on exactly what students can do to correct problems they may be encountering.

This weeks feature focuses on Greg Schreiner, piano instructor here at Cerritos College. Other than being a music instructor, he is the President of the Marilyn Monroe fan club and displays 12 gowns worn by the Hollywood Icon. Staff Writer Tania Olivas takes us deep into the interesting world of a collector of iconic fashion.

The cost of living seems to be on a never-ending climb, and the cost of tuition at community colleges is no exception. With fees for education on the rise, Cerritos College students need to budget their spending and stretch their spending dollar as much as they can. Staff Writer German Lara speaks to Falcons on campus on how to cut costs without raising tuition fees.
The P.E. Pilot Program is an ambitions venture new to Cerritos College. It applies the theory of improved scholastic performance through exercise and proper diet. Staff writer Alexa Bazua brings this new workout program to light.
