All clubs on campus came out Jan. 24 and recruited new members and had past or current members to help the promotion.
The Anime Club, Wilderness Club, Triathlon Club and Music Club were among many other clubs out there.
One of the clubs in attendance was the S.P.I.C.E. Club. It revolves around many students but it mostly helps out single parents.
Business administration major Argelia Perez discussed the purpose of the club, saying, “The purpose of the single parent club is to provide emotional support and group cohesiveness amongst their members.”
She continued, saying, “We provide learning opportunities for single parents and require students to have a 2.0 GPA, and one unit or more to participate.”
Anime Club member Daniel Shirreffs said the club deals with mostly manga and anime from Japan.
“It’s beneficial for students considered strange or people with a lot of energy because it helps relieve some of that energy and it’s a place where they can feel at home,” Shirreffs said.
The Anime Club meets every other Thursday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Another club in attendance at info day was the Wilderness Club. Wilderness Club member Rigo Gomez commented on the purpose of the club, saying, “This club is to inform members about the forest and the land.”
Club representatives continue to recruit members to their respective clubs.
