The career services center of Cerritos College in the upcoming weeks will be hosting several career worshops intended to helping those interested with everything from career decisions to changing majors.
The workshops are offered throughout the week with times depending on the workshop that is being offered.
Workshops offered are choosing a major, career exploration resources, and true colors.
Career services office clerk Edith Colin discussed what the workshops are intended for, saying, “They [the workshops] are to help students figure out what they want to do with their careers,” she said.
Career services promotes the workshops through flyers, through the instructors, and through the Daily Falcon.
All of the workshops offered are free to attend and are not limited to students to attend.
Organizers suggest that those interested in attending bring a pen and paper to take notes.
Speakers are qualified councilors either by training or by having a degree on the topic that they instruct about.
The next career exploration resources workshop will be on Thursday in SS 140 at 2:00 p.m.
The true colors workshop is on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. is room S-202, and the next choosing majors workshop is on Mar. 5 at 2:00 p.m. in SS 140.
