The Cerritos College women’s soccer team (19-2-2) had one goal in mind when it started a long line of 10 consecutive road games to start the season. They wanted to be playing soccer on Dec. 2 at Mount San Antonio College in the championship game of the California State Community College Soccer Tournament.
The Wolverines of Sierra College stand in the way before that day can arrive. Sierra (16-5-3) is coming off an impressive upset win over the No. 1 northern seed from Fresno City College on Nov. 24, 2-1. The Falcons has already faced the Wolverines back on Sept. 16 in Rocklin, Calif., emerging with a 2-1 win.
The team is slated for three practices on Nov. 26 through the 28, with the Cerritos/Sierra semi-final taking place at 7 p.m. at the Mt. San Antonio College Campus.
