The Associated Students of Cerritos College hosted the Early Bird Breakfast, on Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 8 a.m. in Falcon Square.
ASCC has been organizing this event for a few years.
The purpose of the event is to provide breakfast for early bird students; it is a way of showing that the student body cares about them.
Michelle Mancilla, a cabinet member and public relations of ASCC, said, “It’s an opportunity for students who come early to school to get breakfast if they don’t have time at home.”
The snacks provided include different flavors of fruit juice and granola bars.
Not only is breakfast served, but they also give out a free planner. The planner is only given to the students who have a student I.D. and the current fall semester sticker.
Mathematics major and Cabinet Member, Beatriz Tenorio, said, “I think it’s a good way to connect with the student body; to let them know that we are here as ASCC and we can provide them with food.”
Mancilla revealed that it is the first year that ASCC gives out the planners. They are composed with dates that the public is interested in knowing regarding ASCC events, important meetings and a regular school planner for their convenience.
