The Project H.O.P.E. post-auction sale was held in room S102 on Thursday, Dec. 3.
The post-auction sale is a sale that auctioned off the remaining items that were left over from the silent auction that was held earlier this semester.
According to Danylle Williams-Manser, Project II Director/Project H.O.P.E., all items that were left over were 70 percent off and some items were even 90 percent off.
The items that were auctioned off ranged from Sea World tickets to Laugh Factory tickets, and even a set of collectable Kiss dolls.
“We had originally 11 or 12, and I got a couple more the other day. I think we had 43 total so there’s like I think 12 or 13 left, but two of them are new,” Williams-Manser said.
All the proceeds will be going to the Project H.O.P.E. scholarship program.
According to Williams-Manser, “It’s a transfer scholarship […] it’ll open up at the spring semester and then they apply and they have to be transferring for fall and so that scholarship will be for whatever university, if they go straight into a health profession.”
She added that the post-auction sale was expected to have a small turnout.
“Probably a lower turnout today than what we saw at the other silent auction, but that’s because we were feeding people.”
Marchia Chaney, EOPS/Care staff, said she bid in the post-auction sale “To support Project H.O.P.E.
Chaney, she said that she placed bets on the items she feels she could use more with her family.
Winners of the auction will be announced on Monday, Dec. 7, and the winners will be notified through email.
This is also the last auction of the semester until next year, since according to Williams-Manser, this only occurs once a year.
