The Cerritos College food court has re-opened its doors for the fall 2019 semester with three new vendors, offering a refreshingly updated array of food options.
The first new addition is Perfect Timing, specializing in Asian inspired food and bowls. Returning Falcons will find themselves reminded of its predecessor, the Bowl, only with an increased number of options.
The Grill at La Mesa serves as a general restaurant, offering a variety of burgers, Mexican food, and a plethora of breakfast options such as breakfast burritos, quesadillas, and sandwiches.
The Grill at La Mesa serves as a revamped iteration of Burdog, as student Tristin Baeza states, “It’s better than Burdog, Burdog was trash.”
Rounding out the new additions is Healthy Blender, which offers drinks such as smoothies, boba, bubble tea, as well as light meals in the form of crepes.
These changes have been well received by the student body, students such as Andrea Moralez have stated that they are pleased with the increased number of choices that are now offered.
These new additions are all affordable , with a lunch combo from both Perfect Timing and The Grill at La Mesa averaging seven to eight dollars per meal, and a specialty drink from Healthy Blender Averaging four to five dollars for a regular sized drink.
Subway and The Culinary Arts cafe have both remained in the food court and student center, respectively, further expanding the options available to students.
Perfect Timing is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday.
The Grill at La Mesa and Healthy Blender are both open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.
Subway is open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
