It’s time to be an adult.
Most of the students of a community college work or have children, as well as homework.
In the fast-paced world we live in today, there is not much spare time.
Staying on campus to watch a sporting game, especially when there are better games on TV, or for a fun event is just not in the cards for many of us anymore.
The reason college is attended is to get an education, and learn or brush up on the skills to set you forward in your career.
In junior high, there was time for sitting around campus and socializing, back when responsibility was low, and maturity was lower.
Now that adulthood has set in, and there are mouths to feed, work to be done, after school participation is not really such a priority.
Being involved is not a negative aspect; however, if there is spare time, why not spend that time doing something productive, such as volunteering, helping out in your community, helping your kids with their homework, or spending time with loved ones.
There is a lot of things that need to be done, not many hours in the day, it seems like the better choice for that rare spare time should be for something more useful in life.
