Head baseball coach Ken Gaylord will step down and become assistant to the team after 17 seasons as Falcon head coach.
Assistant Jack Brooks will replace Gaylord, after three seasons with the team.
Gaylord’s two son’s Adam (senior Stanford third baseman) and Brian (junior Lewis & Clark infielder) are the reason behind Gaylord’s decision to take an assistant position.
He stated that his interest in watching his sons play college baseball would not be fair to the Falcon baseball team, and as a result, Coach Jack Brooks will be taking over
Jack Brooks head coached a season at Norwalk High School and played four years at Loyola Marymount University before taking an assitant position at Cerritos.
His brother Eric Brooks will also join the Falcon staff and Coach Wally Kincaid, who coached at Cerritos for 22 years and has won six titles, will not be returning on the staff.
