The Falcons women got the upper hand, and defeated East Los Angeles in their conference soccer match on Oct. 19.
With the Falcons (12-1-0) trying to stay undefeated in conference, and East LA (9-2-2) trying to get their second win in a row, both teams were their determined to get the win to add to there record.
The Falcons last game against LA Harbor showed the people in attendance that they are here to play beat them 5-0; scoring two goals, one being scored within the first five minutes by midfielder Miranda Madrid.
Also with the momentum from their last game against Pasadena City College, in which East LA won, 3-1, they also show that they are serious about their game.
But on the matchup between Cerritos and ELAC, it’s seemed that the Falcons were more prepare and ready for the game.
In the beginning of the game, both teams were playing rough to try to take control of the game, and in the 2nd minute, Midfielder Martha Rodriguez saw the opening, and took advantage and scored.
From there, the Falcons started to dominate the half, having the ball on there half of the field the majority of the time.
The Falcons intensity continued to rise in the game, so high that in the 12th minute, forward Daniela Martin made an amazing goal, and another goal by midfielder Tiffany Schultz followed quickly after.
Martians continued to play with hard throughout the half, almost getting a goal in the 35th minute, but redeeming herself by scoring the last goal of the half in the 28th minute, making the score 4-0.
At the start of the second half, the game play was no different, with East LA was playing a bit more intensity.
The tougher playing didn’t help ELA in the 3rd minute, when Martian scored yet another goal, with help from Rodriguez and Schultz.
