As it walked off the gym floor at Gahr High School for the final time this season after sweeping Los Angeles Harbor College in 3 games, the Cerritos College volleyball team showed emotions that spanned across both sides of the spectrum of emotion.
They were joyful because they won their final regular season game, but they also showed signs of sadness as they realized that was their final time together as a team on the court.
Outside hitter Channel Puou struggled to express her thoughts on the game as she realized that she had played her last game as a Falcon.
“It’s sad I’m going to miss everyone but at least we were able to finish off the season with a win,” she said.
Puou and outside hitter and setter Jessika Suesoff have lead the team all season and were selected to the All-South Coast Conference team.
The Falcons finish the season with a losing record of 10-11 and a 6-8 conference record, putting them in fifth place in the SCC.
