The Falcons hosted its first game of the season with a 9-8 win over Citrus College on Friday.
The Falcons struck first, scoring twice in the bottom of the 1st inning as outfielder Bubby Rossman and shortstop Chris Hefner both crossed the plate.
Both teams battled back and forth during the contest, but the Falcons were able to pull out the victory.
The winning pitcher for the Falcons was Sebastian Frutos and the losing pitcher for Citrus was Juan Cabral.
The Falcons had only 2 errors compared to the 6 errors from Citrus.
Cerritos College will next go up against Los Angeles Valley in a double-header at Cerritos College’s Kincaid Field. The first game of the double-header is at 10 a.m. while the second game is slated to begin at 2 p.m.
