MT. SAC has to be one of the most cheerful teams that the Falcons have faced this year, every game was a 12 round punchout with each team splitting the two matches. Cerritos got the best of MT. SAC in the third and final game.
Lily Cornejo started the game for the Falcons and went a very strong 6 1/3 innings striking out four while walking six batters.
The Mounties got off to a quick 3-0 start when Kimberley Pena hit a RBI single which Charolette Foster then followed with a two run home run to center field.
Throughout the next five innings the Mounties would go on to score five more runs and every inning would be a battle for Lily Cornejo.
MT. SAC’s lead would chip away every inning, in the top of the seventh inning, MT. SAC got a second home run from freshman Charolette Foster that put MT. SAC up 8-4.
