Cerritos College men’s Falcon soccer team will play an away game against the East Los Angeles College Huskies on Tuesday.
The Falcons’ win over El Camino College broke a four-game winless streak against the Warriors as Cerritos College marched on to a 2-0 victory.
Meanwhile, the Huskies have won only one game in their last five.
With only four games left until playoffs, this game is important for the Falcons so they can close out the season with a good run.
Currently the Falcons stand third in the South Coast Conference standings with a record of 5-4-1.
The Huskies are 24th in the conference with a record of 3-7.
Defender Gabriel Rivera said about the upcoming game, “They (East LA College) will try to come out and defeat us, they are a hard team to defeat at home, we have to stay focused.”
Midfielder Oscar Enriquez also commented, “They have a turf field which we aren’t used to, but we have to come prepared and win.”
Kick off between these two rivals is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon on the campus of East Los Angeles College.
