Cerritos College men’s Falcons soccer team will make their playoff debut on Tuesday at home against Santa Ana College.
Cerritos College finished the regular season with a five games winning streak, finishing second in the the South Coast Conference with a record of 9-4-1.
Midfielder Daniel Garcia said, “We had a rough bump at a point in the season. We were able to pick ourselves (up) and finish the season strong.”
Placed second in the regular season rankings, Cerritos College advanced to the next round of playoffs without playing a game in the first round.
Their opponents from Santa Ana College finished second in their conference with a record of 9-3-2.
On Saturday, Nov. 17, Santa Ana College defeated Los Angeles Mission College by a score of 5-2.
Midfielder Oscar Enriquez said, “It’s going to be a tough game, we have practice our defense and offense and will be prepared for the game.”
The game will be take place on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at the Cerritos College Soccer Field at 2 p.m.
