Ricky Carrigan Jr. yet to fulfill potential

Cerritos College athletes find themselves in a battle of sorts. Trying to find the balance between team practices and regular school work is no easy feat. Sophomore Ricky Carrigan Jr. has not only found a balance, he has found a way to stand out from the rest.
Sophomore goalkeeper Alexis Carrillo intercepts the ball and prevents it from entering the goal while doing a soccer drill during practice. She torn her ACL last season and is getting better as the season goes on.

After losing its game to Fullerton and watching how turnovers and penalties ruined offensive drives in the loss to Mt. San Antonio, Cerritos College looked determined to get its first home win of the season.
