Vincent Medina is the managing editor of Cerritos College Talon Marks Newspaper. He plans to receive his Associates Degree for Transfer at the end of Fall ‘21 semester. Vincent plans to pursue political journalism, and his goal is to become a political correspondent.

Despite shutting down non-essential services for a week, Norwalk has reported a spike in coronavirus cases in six city departments.
Alex Padilla was appointed to the United States Senate on Dec. 22 by Governor Gavin Newsom. If he wants to keep his seat in the Senate, he will have to win the vote in 2022.

On Dec. 22, Governor Gavin Newson appointed California Secretary of State, Alex Padilla, to represent California in the United States Senate. He will be the first Latino to hold the position.
Luigi Vernola was the former mayor of Norwalk, councilmember and philanthropist who died of coronavirus complications on Jan. 1. Many family and friends remember him as a kind and charitable man.

The Associated Students of Cerritos College held a virtual meeting on Nov. 18 to discuss pressing issues on the state of the college.
The Lozano family received a generous gift from the city of Norwalk on Nov. 16, a basket of games and treats for their children. The city delivered baskets like this to families in the city to promote acts of kindness during the pandemic.
