While the pandemic rages on, thinking about the future is more important than ever now. One way of doing it is by contemplating the viability of scholarships and attending workshops that deliver the information needed to obtain one.
Having spent a total of four days preparing his event, Professor Gandhi presents an almost storylike analysis of King and Gandhi's legacy. He explains to participants that King and Gandhi shared similar goals that seem to have fallen short in the wake of their deaths.

The Cerritos College Foundation is joined on Martin Luther King Jr. Day by Professor Rajmohan Gandhi, grandson of Mahatma Gandhi. It's with him that Cerritos students will learn more about the nuances of King and Gandhi.
Cerritos College Academic Excellence Awards are given to students on April 5 and April 7, 2021. 
Recipients picked up their awards during a drive-thru ceremony in the college parking lot.

Despite isolation from the pandemic, and a shift in the way classes were being taught, students still rose to the occasion academically and Cerritos took the time to recognize their achievements.
The Love We Don’t See nonprofit organization was founded by Cerritos College alumnus, Sylvester Ani. The scholarship was inspired by the work of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the work he was doing against poverty.

Cerritos college alumnus creates scholarship to support students, promote social justice

The Love We Don't See nonprofit organization created a new scholarship for Cerritos College with support from NBA Player and LA native Jrue Holiday and his fund called the Jrue and Lauren Holiday Social Justice Fund.
Due to a $2.3 million gift left by Cerritos College alumnus John B. Smith, Jr., the program will now offer scholarships to students later in the year. The grant was announced on a Cerritos College press release on Oct. 14, 2019.
