Downey’s annual rocket fever festival returns

The City of Downey brings back the annual Rocket Fever Festival for community residents to build and fly their own rocket ships.
The City of S.T.E.M. returns to Downey at a kickoff Launch Event at the Columbia SpaceCenter on April 2 where over 100 partners joined to educate youth.

On April 2, STEMinists of all ages were invited to join the City of STEM at a launch event in the city of Downey for their month-long celebration.
After being shut down in 2020 due to COVID-19, the Columbia Space Center in Downey, CA makes the decision to create virtual experiences for students to engage in and learn about space in a safe way.
