Immigrants have to pay for unnecessary increased costs and fees just to apply for citizenship in the U.S. and follow strict policies.
A 33-year-old Mexican immigrant seeking refuge in the U.S. was so severely injured from a fall while in detention that he can't feel his legs and now uses a wheelchair, his El Paso attorney says. But Immigration and Customs Enforcement says the man had a thorough medical evaluation and there was "no known justification" for his being unable to walk.
